Withdraw

No matter what your addiction might be, withdrawal is not a fun period in your life. If you are coming off of an opiate addiction, an alcohol addiction, or an addiction to an illegal substance, you are in for a sweaty ride. You are going to have symptoms for a long time, as any addiction takes practice and dedication to overcome. During the withdrawal period it is best if you have some sort of medical supervision, a safe place to withdrawal from (even if that is your home) and someone to help you through those rough moments of addiction. It can be a rough road back form addiction but the journey is worth it in the long run. Your health, your life, and your world depend on your ability to get clean.

Some symptoms of addiction might include an irregular heart rate, chills, sweats, an inability to regulate your body temperature, vomiting, diarrhea, tremors, and emotional swings or depression. There can be additional symptoms depending on what you want to withdrawal from. Addiction is serious business, and going through the withdrawal is going to challenge you. Remember that once you start, you already have time in. Giving into your addiction now will only mean that you have to serve that time again. Who wants to add three or four days to a six week ling withdrawal? You need not be ashamed of your addiction, and you might want to consider making sure there is an addiction expert on hand to talk you through your wide range of symptoms.
